Basecamp no longer working with latest update

I was prompted to install an update to Basecamp on Sunday. Now it won't work, with an error Entry Point Not Found, then loads of gobbledegook about:

The procedure entry point ?erase@ExifData@Exiv2@@QAE?AV?$.......... etc could not be located in the dynamic link library exiv2.dll

I've emailed Garmin and tried re-installing from the Website. No joy. Has anyone got any ideas?

Well for .dll errors the suggested fix is:

Anyone getting a Windows file .dll error message after updating BaseCamp on a Vista, 7, or 8 computer should uninstall BaseCamp then delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\BaseCamp folder. Reinstall BaseCamp and the error should not return.

You could try that.

Having said that my 2 PCs updated without issue.

Thank you SUSSAMB - that has indeed fixed the problem
