I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this. I downloaded the track log from my wife's most recent run from her 310xt. I pulled it up in garmin connect and then saved the gpx file on my desktop so I could load it into my GPSmap 62s. In garmin connect, the track log shows up in its entirety, but when I pull it up in my 62s it's missing the last couple miles. What causes this and how do I fix it?
Probably too many points so it's been truncated. Does it all show in Basecamp? How many points does it contain? Also confirm if it's a route or a track?
FYI, the 62 series has a limit of 10,000 points for a track. Loading the track into BaseCamp will allow you to see the number of points. If it is more than 10,000 then duplicate (not copy) the route and use the filter button at the bottom of the route properties window to reduce the number of points and verify that the shape has change to much from the original.
A less likely issue would be loss of satellite lock which might cause a segment break. I'm not sure how this will behave on different devices, but most likely in BaseCamp it will result in multiple tracks from the single file. If that is the case, then the segments can be joined in BaseCamp to make a single track.
