Cannot start Bascamp 4.3.3

Just made a fresch install of Basecamp 4.3.3 on my Windows 7 64-bit computer. When I try to start Basecamp I get a message in Swedish saying someting like "No map products have been discovered. Install a map product to continue." I have used earlier versions of Basecamp on other computers and I have never installed any maps. I just want Basecamp to use the maps on my Garmin nüvi 2460 that is connected to the computer. That has worked on my old computers.

What shall I do?

Connect your nuvi ... Basecamp should see them, or is it that that's not working? Note it may take a while for them to be indexed and available in Basecamp.

I think Version 4.3.3 is messed up. I installed it on my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and it failed to start because of a missing .dll file. I found the .dll file on another PC and installed it. Next attempt to start Base Camp failed with a message about not being able to start a Java script. I gave up. I am calling Garmin Monday.

The solution that works for most people is a complete uninstall then reinstall of Basecamp, have you tried that?

Helped for me temporarily. Today i'm then not able to launch 433. DLL errors. Reverted to 4.2.5.

Anyone getting a Windows file .dll error message after updating BaseCamp on a Vista, 7, or 8 computer should uninstall BaseCamp then delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\BaseCamp folder. Reinstall BaseCamp and the error should not return.

That worked for me. Now, I guess I will try to update a Windows 8 laptop.
