Can't see map behind too many POI

I'm using Basecamp v4.2.5 with City Navigator Europe NT 2014.3 I'm trying to view detailed streets in London but once I've zoomed in to 300 metres the whole screen is totally covered in POIs and I can't see anything else. The Help pages mention a 'Utilities' menu which once offered a possible means of suppressing the POIs but in current versions the Utilites menu has been removed.

If I use the 'Detail Level' toolbar to adjust the detail level down I lose all the small roads as well as the POI.

How the heck do I suppress or get rid of the infernal POIs?

Thanks, that's a start. It's a pity that the application Help pages aren't more helpful (a common complaint I've found!)

This seems not to work properly however, insofar as it seems to suppress many POI types but the SHOPS (it looks like mostly clothes shops!) remain visible until the 'Level of detail' setting is reduced to 'Low' or thereabouts depending on the degree of zoom.

Now I need to find a way of suppressing the damn things in my GPS unit itself!
