Problem importing route to Nuvi 500 with Basecamp

I'm new to this stuff and not sure if I'm doing it right. What I want to do is import a GDB route to my Nuvi 500. What I did:
- Copy the OSM map for The Netherlands to \Garmin on the SD card, this works.
- Installed BaseCamp
- Connected the Nuvi 500 to the computer
- Clicked My Collection, then File, Import and selected my GDB file

This is what I see now:

- Right clicked on Rondje Apeldoorn, the icon with the motorcycle, not the foot steps, and choose Send To...
- Select Destination: User Data under H:
- Disconnec the Nuvi
- On the Nuvi: Tools, My Data, Import route from file.
- Selected Rondje Apeldoorn, Nuvi starts calculating...
- Data imported successfully

- Custom Routes, selected Rondje Apeldoorn: 11 via points, 86,2 km, 1 hour 51 mins

I ended up with

Why did I loose 2/3 of the via points?

I've sent the route to a Nuvi 510 too, this workes flawlessly. Allthough there are different maps installed:
    - East Europ: Openstreetmap East-Europe 22-6-2012
    - World Map: Napoli(N40-45, E10-15), Paris...
    - CN Europe NT 2012.10: Benelux & France

    The Nuvi 500:
    - OSM generic routable new (Netherlands): OSM generic routable new (Netherlands_31-05-2014)

Could this be the issue, that my map is the problem?

So the OSM map is the default map in your Nuvi 500 and Basecamp already ?

Before you send the route to your GPS, did you do a "Re-Calculate" ?

And can you check this ?

In Basecamp right click on your Nuvi 500
    Select Edit Transfer Settings
What are the settings there ?

You could try to play with these settings and see if it works
