I always manually download the latest installer and install it manually. I never update from within BC (or anything else for that matter))
That is what the upgrade actually does.
And it happens on their own... let me rephrase. It checks on it's own. I said that wrong. You don't have to check. It will download and ask you if you are ready to install. It no longer forces you to do so like older versions.

Let's be perfectly clear: It opens a window including a button to CANCEL the install? And what happens the next time you open it? Does it keep pestering you?
