I just updated my unit map software and now my BaseCamp app won't work. I get a message that program can start because file MSVCP120.dll is missing. Anyone know how to fix this??

I tried to reinstall maps but still the same message. Thxs Joe

In addition to uninstalling BC, I had to manually delete the BC folder. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Things running OK.....for now. Thxs Joe

Yesterday I downloaded the City Navigator North America NT 2015.1 maps to my Garmin nuvi 1300 and today I find that I am also getting the error message Missing MSVCP120.dll when I launch BaseCamp. Prior to updating to 2015.1 BaseCamp was working fine. The fix that worked for me was to download the latest BaseCamp 4.3.1 update:

    http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4435

I had to go to the Control Panel > Program and Features and uninstall the previous Garmin BaseCamp version and afterwards delete the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\BaseCamp" directory before installing this download. Just updating the existing version did not work.

Fortunately none of this required that I reboot my system. Also, the user files for BaseCamp are stored in different directory from the program files so all my Waypoints and Trip Logs were still there when I launched the new version. I did get a message that files from previous versions were detected and did I want to delete them? I replied no and am able to access this information without any problems.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.

    Good Luck!
