Got the same "MSVCR90.DLL is missing message" - have uninstalled and re-installed about a dozen times and no change in behavior - is there a link to a previous version I could use?

    Running Windows 8.1

Ditto here - Windows 8.1 w/BaseCamp 4.3.1 and Garmin Express. Used Garmin Express to download/install 2015.10 into my system. Came back and found it had crashed as I was at the login screen. BaseCamp fails to load with "MSVCR90.DLL is missing"

Uninstall / Reinstall fails to correct this problem.

I haven't completed testing 4.3.1 but have found one nasty irritation: Item sorting in Map View (i.e., the right panel contains the map) vs. Data View (where the items are on the right). As opposed to earlier versions, I cannot get the items in the Map View list to be sorted on other than symbol. Go to Data View, use the gear wheel (upper right) to change the sort. Go back to Map View, and the old symbol sort is back. More irritation on going back to Data View and your previous sort is not remembered!
[Please tell me if this is not the right place in the forum for this.]

 I now discover that my last comments only apply when you are viewing all data items. When a data filter is applied, ordering is by name, and the option to resort is on the right-click menu. I take it all back!

    Hi,

Here are the entry from the event:

I have uninstalled Bc several times, checked the .NET version, 4.5.1, Updated the Nvidia driver to latest for my laptop, HP Elitebook 8540w Win 7 Enterprise 64bit, 4GB ram.
    No success to load BC.
The unistaller deletes to basecamp folder in c:\program files(x86).

It works on my private laptop and private workstation.

Have you tried to uninstall 4.2.5 completely and then install 4.3.1 manually?
  • Just for information I have just downloaded the full CN EU 2015.10 that has just been released to my PC. Basecamp 4.3.1 failed to open with a long error message. The 4.3.03 beta worked fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled 4.3.1 and it then worked.
  • Same here, seems to be structural: After installing the 2015.1 Express seems to reinstall the old BC version, leading to the error as attached. Uninstall and re-install does the trick.

I am also seeing the MSCVR90.dll issue (Win7 64bit), but uninstalling and reinstalling does not fix it.
