2 issues moving to a new PC and Win 7

1 - Attempted to export 'My Collection' from old PC BaseCamp and import into new PC Basecamp. It did move individual items but no lists; the items were all lumped together in the new BaseCamp's 'My Collection'. I would like to have had them organized as they were on the old PC. Would Backup/Restore be more appropriate, or can this not be done?

2 - I have BaseCamp Ver 4.2.5 installed on the new PC. Much of the application looks soft on the screen, maps look fine. Very noticeable when compared to old PC. Anyone with ideas why?

1. Backup/Restore is what you need to maintain your folders/lists. Alternatively you can manually copy the database across. In Win7 the Basecamp database is in C:\users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Basecamp\Database\4.2. You don't say whether your previous PC was also Win7, if not you can locate the database by searching for FolderData.gfi

2. Not sure what you mean, are you able to post screen shots? Are the screen resolutions of both PCs set the same?

Screenshot looks fine to me, it'll look different from your XP machine due to the different screen resolution.

I don't believe Basecamp will create a backup onto a USB stick, why I'm not sure as it would seem sensible to be able to do so. But yes, copying to a USB stick and transferring it that way will work.

You can also use a SD card if you have one?
