BaseCamp doubt - Select an area and trace every possible route

Hi everyone and thanks for all your excellent posts that have helped me a lot in learning how to use Garmin BaseCamp software.

However i am wondering if it is possible to do the next thing (on the 4.2.5 version):

- Select an area (circle, square or rectangle) on the map and trace every (or many) possible routes (in car) inside that area. Instead of doing that manually with the track tool that could take an eternity in big areas.

If it's not possible i am open to your suggestions in order to solve this problem i have, because up to now the best thing i found is to use the track tool, trace the route and then create the route (in car) that correspond to it.

Thanks in advance,
Martin

What you might consider doing is changing your route preferences. If it is a driving route, for example, you can change your routes to be shortest time, shortest distance, avoid highways, etc. You can do this on a per/route basis or you could make many clones of the routes and set each up one differently to see how we calculate the routes. We use the same calculation algorithms as the devices so this is what we have to work with in order to be a consistent as possible with them. This is one suggestion. Keep in mind that every time you calculate it could take some time, more so if it is a slower type of travel, i.e. hiking, over a long distance.
