Folders of Maps?

I do a lot of dirt biking and a lot of the clubs provide GPS maps. So I have 3 physically separate places with dozens of "tracks". If I'm on my GPS I'd prefer to click on the name of the place I'm at, then see all of the trails and if preferred, show all on the map. Otherwise it gets confusing because lot of them are named poorly (IE: T65, T66) and it's easy to mix them up.

A folder would be preferred, or if I could mass rename and add a prefix to each of the tracks. How does everyone else do this? Basecamp doesn't seem to have any option to do this.
  • JaVaWa tools enable you to rename maps easily ... Device manager for those on your GPS http://www.javawa.nl/jdm_en.html and GMTK for those on your PC http://www.javawa.nl/gmtk_en.html

If SUSSAMB answered your question please disregard the following.

I get many questions like yours where folks are using Google terminology rather than GPS terminology. The "GPS Maps" you are getting from your riding mates are not maps they are GPX Files with Tracks in them. These can be Imported into BaseCamp. I create Lists for locations that have a lot of Tracks associated with them. The Lists can be Named by Location but once you Import the Tracks you will need to rename them and the current version of BaseCamp does not support "batch" naming so you will need to rename the Tracks one at a time.

Garmin GPS devices use various methods for managing/organizing Tracks. Most don't support "folders" per say so as stated above you will need to name your Tracks accordingly.

If your GPS device supports Garmin Adventures, you can in a sense use an Adventure created in BaseCamp as a "folder" that contains all of the Tracks for a specific area. In addition to using Adventures you can set each Track to show on the GPS device Map so when you enter an area you will see the Tracks around you.
