Weird Issue Between OR 450 and Basecamp

Hoping somebody might have a fix for this. Today after creating a custom map I went into the Waypoint Manager Folder. To my surprise, the folder was empty? I had a few waypoints left from a recent backup to Basecamp and decided to manually enter them back into the unit. After doing this I cleaned out my Basecamp folder and decided to send a new refreshed list from the GPS to BC. Again, to my surprise, all of my old Waypoints transferred into BC, yet when I go into the Waypoint Manager folder it only shows the WP's I manually entered. Any ideas? Thanks
  • Are they waypoints that are some distance away? IIRC there are some GPS that won't show waypoints if they're too far away but you should find them either by panning the map across or by doing a search by name.

I assume you mean the Waypoint Manager screen (icon) in the Oregon x50--that is in the unit itself.

Not sure what you mean exactly but the Oregon x50 allows waypoints, and other data, to be deleted by software (i.e. BaseCamp). Depending upon what was selected you may've deleted the waypoints accidentally.

If you added waypoints in BC and transferred those without an interventing device reboot this could explain what you observed (old waypoints deleted, news ones added).
