It only has one activity profile. The same route displays correctly in 4.2. The closest via point is the one marked as Falls Creek on the image.

The same problem exists ahead of some other via points in other routes. I have tried it on five previous versions of City Navigator Aus & NZ and it displays the same way after recalculating.

I have used the backup / restore function to transfer databases between 4.2 and 4.3 so that I don't compromise the database.
  • Maybe it's map specific? I'm using CN EU. Ah well, we'll have to wait to see if anyone else can reproduce it.
  • Import from nuvi still produces a long list rather than importing the various categories...

    My guess from this

Added waypoint categories to the waypoint and bulk waypoint property dialogs

is that the categories -> BC Lists conversion has been removed to make categories work as they do in MapSource.
  • Yes, allows you to assign categories to waypoints in Basecamp as per Mapsource, which is good, but importing them from the nuvi doesn't retain them ...

Maybe the intention is to do so in the final release , would be great if it does :)
  • First off thank you for working on that scorgue that is the search balloon popup but I still wish it wouldn't do anything until I asked for it. I just wish it wouldn't "popup" anything.

I have found a couple of things so far.
    1. I can't resize the Activity Profile toolbar. It's set to the width of the icon and seems fixed. When I pull down to select one of my driving profiles I see the full width icon and text but after that on the toolbar I only see the car icon.
    2. I have a Montana 600 with CNNT2014.3 AND CNNT2014.4 but only CNNT2014.4 is enabled. I have CNNT2014.4 selected in BC. If I work on a route in BC and then send it to the Montana I get a message that the route has been recalculated because a map was used that does not exist on the device. I found the option about matching routes to the map on my device but my maps should match. What is this option trying to fix?

Are categories in the device imported (as waypoint properties) or just not converted to BC Lists? Not sure what you're saying.

Agreed, and it's certainly better than it was. If we want to know what is there it should show only if we right click, or maybe even have a setting under Options to turn balloon pop-up off or on.

Ah, fixed it. I was importing from my nuvi without deleting the same waypoints I had already in my BC data. I cleared it all out and did a fresh import ... and it works :D Great!!!!
  • Good. Have you found a way to "filter" (display etc) by Category?
  • This release does not support XP.

BTW I assume the databases of 4.2.x and 4.3.x are now incompatible--that is one can't backup a 4.3.x database and restore it to a 4.2.x version of BC (on XP or other).
