I have installed BaseCamp on a new Mac. I still have the CDs of the Garmin MapSource U.S. Topo maps from several years ago and would like to use them with BaseCamp, but I can't find any way to load them. They are in .img format and BaseCamp seems to want .gmapi format.
Can I load my US TOPO v.3.00 or v.3.01 to my computer?
to install the maps (entirely) on your HD. BaseCamp will then see them.
Thanks for responding, Stuart, but those instructions apply to Windows computers running WinXP or earlier. I am on a Mac running the latest version of Mac OSX so those instructions don't apply.
As I recall someone once posted the same question. I think they installed the maps on a PC and then used JaVaWa GMTK (Win) to backup the maps and JaVaWa GMTK (Mac) to restore them on their Mac
BTW you posted in the Windows forum so I assumed you had a PC.
