Hello
I have installed BaseCamp. I now would like to use it to view and view/plan my 18 destinations France tour using OFM(EU2014_W). This on my PC before creating on device (nuvi1340)

I have downloaded the PC file of 2.6GB. From now on I get mixed up and wrong reading the instructions for install. I did unzip and run exe file but not much seemed to happen and I couldn't find within BaseCamp how to read it from where it was located. To keep registry and all clear I did system restore (always create a point before I 'install' anything) so now back to beginning with just the zip

Where do I unzip the file to? The zip file currently sits on my 'Download' folder. What location do I choose in my C:/ directory? I have a My Garmin in My Documents. I can't put it into the maps folder within BaseCamp program files as won't let me (Admin rights etc)

OpenFietsMap instructions say it contains an exe file I ran before (taking only a few seconds - which it did) but where does the zip file need to be before unzipping or where do you direct the 'path' to?
Told you I was a little stupid - sorry to be a pain but need real clear directions guys.
In anticipation without an insult:)

It doesn't matter where you unzip those files to, you can use any folder you want. Basecamp need to be closed when you run install.exe.
After that you can open Basecamp and you can find the mapset in the list with installed maps.
If something went wrong you can check your installed maps with JaVaWa GMTK: http://www.javawa.nl/gmtk_en.html

    OMGolly gosh. Yes. Was stupid.
Done it all now and seen map under - guess what - 'Maps'. About to start using it now.
Hope it meets expectations. Been planning so far on Google Maps but didn't seem practical to try and take a device on trip to use those.
Hope OFM routes me down canal, riverside, old railway lines, dedicated cycle routes like Google 'cos from what I've seen will be a beautiful trip!

Many thanks for help so far to an idiot
