Is there an easy way to copy photos that I imported to base camp with my GPS and then paste them in a desktop folder? I take a lot of photos using my Oregon 550t and try and upload them to base camp then delete them from the unit on a weekly schedule in order to free up space for the next week. Now that I have all of these photos on base camp I need to use them for reports but can't remove them from Base Camp as JPEGS. I guess I made the mistake off using Base Camp to store my photos. Is there any easy way to just export the photos as JPEGS?
1. Open each photo in BaseCamp individually (double-click) and then use 'Save As...'. (That can be tedious for a lot of photos.) 2. Use the 'Share Photos' functionality. Select the photos you want to share, right-click and hit 'Share Photos'. You can then upload them to Picasa and retrieve them from there. 3. Grab them from the Database directly. All the photos should be in C:\Users\{YOUR USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\BaseCamp\GeotaggedPhotos.
Garmin saves photo's, in it's database, as JPG files--at least I have some there and I didn't put them there.
Check the GeotaggedPhotos and/or LinkedPhotos sub-folders in the database folder. The location of the database folder depends on your Windows O/S, version of BaseCamp or where you put it (in the case of user defined locations). Just search for the above folder(s).
