I wanted to create a route from my tracks on my Montana. Easy to do on BC, but like the rookie I am I forgot to turn tracks off on my ride home. I figured out, using BC, how to erase the portion I didn't want after (I think) converting the tracks to my route. Now the route looks correct but I want to send it back to the Montana as a route resident on the internal storage. Plenty of room, but when I "send to" it shows up severely truncated and rather useless. Help??
Your route probably has to many via points in from when you did the Track to Route conversion. For the Montana you need to filter the via points to ≤ 50. I use the Preferences settings to filter my track points when I convert them to routes for whatever device I'm working with...
It would be nice if they were a little better defined in the forum naming. If one automatically does a search on new posts it's impossible to tell at first glance which OS we're dealing with.
