I tend to use BaseCamp and before that MapSource, at high to sometimes "Highest" amount of "Detail" at times, since I tend to do a lot of back road routes or want to see how far secondary routes go across fairly large remote sections of the USA.
The display of the Airport Icons has always been quite annoying, in that... why are Airport Icons displayed with such a high priority compared to the display smaller cities and roads for a given zoom/detail setting in BaseCamp?
The annoying airport icons don't display that way when viewing the same map data on the GPS itself (i.e. my 3597LMTHD). On my GPS, airport names and layout show up consistent with other features, streetnames, etc..and without the annoying large airport icon.
Why shouldn't BaseCamp work more or less the same way?
If I had my preference I would like to be able to turn off totally the display of the Airport Icons or, at least have them display only consistent with the display of POIs..
Any chance that might be changed in a future release of BaseCamp?
