Creating Routes Help

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to create multiple routes? As an outside sales person I want to have a route for each city. I have all the addresses in an excell spreadsheet (is there a way to import them). I did try to search by address and it did not work.

I appreciate your help in advance.

A couple of things. Trips represent the concept of a logical grouping of routes. That is one way to view that. So you can use the trip planner setting. As for an import from a spreadsheet, that does not currently exist. As for address search what map are you using? Can you give me an example address in a private message if necessary so that I can test the find results?

If your addresses have a lat/long with them (unlikely) you could save the excel file as comma separated values, then use a utility to create a *.gpx file from that and import it. (Google csv to gpx)

Otherwise, the only way to do this is to use BaseCamp to find each and every address and then put a waypoint at each one.....I wouldn't consider this unless there were less than a hundred.

Depends on what format your addresses are in, maybe you could use a bulk geocoding service.
    eg try Batchgeo. http://batchgeo.com/
You can upload a spreadsheet, and it will give you latitude/longitude for each address. It has an option to export as a KML file, which you could import into BaseCamp.
