Basecamp cant see purchased map

Hi

I have purchased a map from the Garmin store for the UK and Basecamp is not displaying it

Basecamp lists it in the dropdown for 'Maps' but it is not displayed

I have run JaVaWa Device Manger and this is what I get

Purchasing is one thing, have you downloaded it to your PC? Which map is it? What exactly shows in the map drop down list in Basecamp?

Note Device Manager won't show the maps on your PC, you need to run GMTK http://www.javawa.nl/gmtk_en.html

GMTK is not showing any installed maps on my PC?

Ah OK, so the maps on a card, not your PC. In that case GMTK won't detect it but Device Manager should.

Very weird. Clearly Basecamp sees the map, but I'd also expect Device Manager to see it also. The fact that isn't happening and Basecamp won't display the map possibly means the download has corrupted. Does it show on your Etrex 30?

Clearly Basecamp sees the map

Just to be clear it sees the map but is not displaying it

but I'd also expect Device Manager to see it also.

Device manager is seeing the maps but Device Manager indicates its not 'Visible in Basecamp' see first image

The fact that isn't happening and Basecamp won't display the map possibly means the download has corrupted. Does it show on your Etrex 30?

Yes the map shows perfectly on my Etrex

Device manager isn't showing the map, it's not listed. It shows the basemap and the timezone map, not your GB Discoverer map. Why Basecamp isn't displaying it I have no idea but the fact it's not showing in Device Manager may indicate the problem.

JaVaWa pops in occasionally and he may be able to explain further.

I am doing a fresh download to preclude a corrupted card

JaVaWa Device Manager shows the contents of the device and that of the SD card in separate windows. This screenshot is of the eTrex itself, while the map is on the SD card...
I'm pretty sure that JDM has found the map, but you have to click the right button... ;)

Anyway, BaseCamp shows the map; I can even see the outlines on the screenshot. Have you tried zooming in?

Good spotting ... your monitor screen must be better than mine, I can only just see the outline by looking very carefully.
