Getting french addresses

Hi

I have CN Europe maps NTU 2014.30 loaded in basecamp and in the process of plannig a long trip from LOndon to Lyon in france and bck again.

I am trying to find addresses in France but basecamp keeps saying no results found. I have tried the postcode, street name and combinations of ti and nothing works. It works fine with uk postcode but it won't find anthing in France.

Am i doing soemthing wrong or is the address search disabled in europe for some reason.

Can you provide examples? I can find addresses in France.

Examples of addresses?

2 Route de Saint-Omer, 62100, CALAIS
5 Abbeville Street, 75010, Paris

I have tried just the street names, cities and various combinations. It doesn't seem to find any of them

Found the first one with no issue, second one came up as 5 Rue d'Abbeville :)

Here's how I do it. Hit Ctrl + Alt + F, enter town in location box. Once correct town is selected ensure Addresses is selected then enter street address in the search box (top right).

I find the search in BaseCamp still "hit and miss", miss most of the time even if you do it the way you're told how it should work.
I stick with MapSource for search (and other things)

I think Basecamp search is due an update in the next Basecamp release. IIRC Falagar implied it might be more similar to Mapsource search.

it's not in the just released 4.2.5 so probably in a more major release like 4.3

EDIT: I see that with this post I've become a SENIOR member.... must be close to retirement than :rolleyes:

It won't be ... That was just a maintenance release.
