Questions about Basecamp and Birdseyeview

I am going to purchase an Astro 320, have downloaded Basecamp 4.2.4. I have not downloaded any maps yet, but want to use Birdseye view. I am not sure what maps I need to get besides Birdseye. Any information would be appreciated.
