Before uploading new routes to my 660 I always delete the routes on the unit. Everything says it's deleting the routes and when I list the routes on the unit it says there aren't available do I want to create one. OK the unit seems to be empty, but yet when I import my new routes a lot of the time, not always, the old routes show up when I list the routes to make sure the new routes were imported. What's up with this? How do you "permanently" delete old routes from the unit?

Try deleting the \Garmin\GPX\temp.gpx file on the Zumo. This contains data that was previously transferred to the device and may contain the routes that you are trying to delete.
I've had trouble when deleting the temp.gpx file. I've had it produce a temp.gpx of 0 bytes which caused BC to throw an error about the temp.gpx. Why can't DELETE mean DELETE, GONE, NOT THERE ANY MORE?
