When I first down loaded BaseCamp, County roads and small towns showed up. I realize I have to be zoomed in. They no longer show. I have checked the following View>Toolbars>make sure Detail Level is selected and Set detail level to Highest. I have even uninstalled BaseCamp and re installed it. I cant get County roads and small towns back. I downloaded baseCamp on a different computer and they are there. Any idea as to what I need to do to get County roads and small towns back? Kirk

A map with county roads and small towns on it, of course. Which map do you have selected under the "Maps" menu? If you have the "Global Map" that comes with BaseCamp selected, you won't see small towns or county roads

I have never had any map other than the "Global Map" that comes with BaseCamp and I have had towns and County roads show when I zoomed in extremely close. The only thing I have downloaded since I installed BaseCamp is under file, chose Import to my collection and uploaded GPS tracks from http://www.transamtrail.com/store/#gps

Perhaps you had a gps connected to your computer when you did this before? If you connect a nuvi, for example, basecamp will read the City Navigator map and show it on the screen. Since you say you never had any maps directly installed in Basecamp, this is really the only way what you describe could be happening. The Global Map is really crude and hardly has any roads on it.

Thank you guys. You are both correct. This has been driving me nuts! The first thing I did when I got to work this morning was open BaseCamp and click the Maps tab to see what map it was using, "City Navigator North America" I was like how did that get there! now I know.
