Base Camp exporting flaw

Been using the Garmin Nuvi750 for many years now and am delighted with it! Ever since it came out... Don't ask me what I paid for it way back then! Anyway I've graduated to a Nuvi 3580 and as a result now have to use Base Camp. I imported my old Map Source gdp files but when I exported from Base Camp using the Route Directions tab on the properties window and selecting "more info" - using copy & paste - I got all the details I wanted with comma separated text right ready to import into Excel... HOWEVER whenever a field had no character the comma for that column was missing. This resulted in Excel not putting the info in the right columns. What a mess that created as you can imagine. I managed to cut & paste for hours redoing 10 routes!!!

Might I suggest that the Route Directions text output of a copy/paste be corrected to contain the correct number of commas in the copied text for all the columns.
It would sure make it easier for folks that use this way to export the directions.
Cheers

Imported files from Old MapSource to BaseCamp will now be GPX files... to export them.... find the route or Waypoints in your Data Window on left... in a List within a Folder (BaseCamp)... with that information highlighted and your GPS connected you can either FILE>EXPORT and follow prompt...OR you can click and drag that data to your GPS unit/ Internal or Data Card....
Likewise to IMPORT data into BASECAMP use File>Import the file in your MapSource data files on your computer.

My video lesson cover this... the part I am speaking about is about the 9 min mark...but a good watch that could help you...
