Nuvi 40 does not show the trails that BaseCamp sends to device

I just down loaded Basecamp tonight. It shows the ATV trails that I downloaded in gpx format. it even shows them when I click on internal Storage. So it seems to have transfered the data. but when I turn on the GPS the trails do not show up on the map. I have messed with this for four hours. Please help.
You can send tracks to a nuvi 40 but it can't display them, I don't think any nuvi can. Some you can send routes/trips to ... But again the 40 can't display them.
None of the Nuvi series can display tracks that you send unfortunately. There is a work-around, however it's more complicated. You can turn the tracks into a transparent map overlay that can be enabled at the same time as City Navigator. Have a look at these programs.
