If I send waypoints from BaseCamp to a Zumo 350/390 it only shows a heart-symbol on the map on the zumo, not the symbol that I set in BaseCamp and no label is shown.
Any way to get the right symbol (and a label) to be shown on the map?
Thanks, I have tried that, but they all show up as hearts. I also tried with a CustomSymbols folder under Garmin where I put bmp files of the correct symbols, but no go, only hearts...
I don't have a Zumo but I have two other recent devices - a Nuvi 3550 and Dezl 760. They also show the generic hearts. They also don't show labels. And when you enable the "places along the road" feature, it also displays seemingly random POI's for businesses.
You can change the symbol on the device itself, but only to a limited number of other similar looking signpost type things. Tap the 3-bar menu button in the top left corner of your screenshot and Edit > Change Map Symbol you will see the options. But the GPS ignores whatever symbol you chose in Basecamp (or on an older device if you transferred waypoints from it).
I don't think there is any way to get it to display the waypoint name, unless the Zumo is very different.
