What is the file name for "my Collection" and where is it stored

A silly irritant perhaps, but I have a replacement Nuvi 3590. I tried to import the 290+ waypoints I had before I took my former 3590 swimming. The import appears on the "saved places" 3590 with a date x/x/2013. I would prefer to have the file name "waypoints" I've exported the file to my desktop as "waypoints.gpx. I am unable to ascertain how to import that specific file to the device.

Now do yourself a favour and delete temp.gpx from the GPX folder on your nuvi. That's the file Basecamp sends there. If you don't any of your favourites you want to delete off your nuvi in future will always return.
