Let us know if you experience any problems with this release.
  • I am unable to read the activity files (.fit) recorded on a Garmin Fenix under Garmin/Activity/
The Garmin is configured in Setup / Tracks / Output as FIT
I had to go in the unit into Fit history, select the activity and save as track.
I believe the fenix activities were visible in previous Garmin basecamp versions, if I had the track output set to gpx/fit, the two outputs were visible with a different date format.

I get the same. See no activities recorded on the Fenix anymore!

We will be releasing shortly a new updated build of BaseCamp that corrects for this fit file issue. There are other threads also on this issue. Thank you for your feedback, and apologizes for the inconvenience. A fix will be posted very soon.

When I download 4.3.3 I am no longer able to get the New Route Dialogue Box that permits dragging and dropping the start and end points of a new route. Fortunately I have saved a shortcut to 4.2.2 and have to revert back to that to create routes simply.
I am also unable to get any addresses in the find menu although I can get POIs etc.
I am using Nuvi2460 with Australian and European Maps.
  • I assume you mean 4.2.3?

The box is there. Try reinstalling 4.2.3

Address search works OK, just ensure you have selected addresses and not POIs. Which map do you have loaded/selected as that will also affect whether you can find any addresses?

There are a few previous threads about the New Route box going missing. eg
    https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?30038-No-new-route-dialogue-box
    https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?26178-Recovering-Start-End-Boxes

Try resetting by going to Edit -> Options -> General -> Reset options.

Or you can delete or edit the user.config file, probably in AppData\Local\GARMIN_Corp

Hi I reinstalled 4.2.3. Still no dialogue box.

Reset Options as other have suggested. Still no dialogue box.

I'm not too computer savvy so don't feel comfortable editing a config file as others have suggested.
If someone can talk me through it step by step I may be able to give it a go.

I can find addresses on my Australian maps which were on the nuvi2460 when I purchased it but I can't find addresses on the European maps which I downloaded onto a micro SD card even though I can access everything else in the find menu.
  • Well you could follow the instructions in the threads or wait until the problem is corrected as Falagar advised it would be. I think the plan is to enable you to change the setting through the Basecamp menus.

IIRC there is an issue with address search with maps on sd cards, but can't find where it was mentioned. Just tried with the UK map on a sd card. I can search and find postcodes with the map on the card selected but not addresses, even though I can find the addresses when I select the same map installed in Basecamp. Seems like there is still an issue with searching maps on sd cards.
  • You don't need the dialogue box to create a route. Select (highlight using the control key) two waypoints. Right click on one of the selected waypoints (a menu will open), select from the list "Create Route with selected waypoints". This will create a route between the two waypoints. You can modify the route if the direction is wrong by clicking on invert. YOu can also add waypoints or use the pencil to make positioning points.

This is the way I normally make routes. Actually I copy the two points into a list called all routes and make all my selections and adjustments there...

No you don't, but some prefer it and there should be an easy way to get the dialogue box back. As I said, IIRC a fix is on the way :)
