How to use BaseCamp to instal HuntCo from SD card to Rino530

I have a Rino 530 that does not have a SC card slot. I have HuntCo maps on a SD card. I understand I can use the free download BaseCamp to install the HuntCo map software from the SC card to the Rino. The tutorial says to use the Map Install program in the Utility menu. My BaseCamp software does not have a Utilities menu on the toolbar so I can't get to the Map Install program.

Where do I find the Utilities menu so I can use the Map Install program?

Will this solve my problem and allow me to install HuntCo from the SC card?

Thank you!

If the map was originally provided on a card then it is not compatible with MapInstall. Look at the card in Windows Explorer and you should find a folder named garmin. What files are inside that folder? I would expect a file named gmapsupp.img, and that is the map. You can simply copy this file from the card to the Garmin folder on your Rino, space permitting. If the Rino doesn't have enough free space, then you will be out of luck because it's an "all or nothing" prospect, you can't install a smaller part of a map from a card.

Have you already installed any other maps on your Rino? If so, there will probably already be a gmapsupp.img file. Not sure if the Rino supports multiple map file names. If it does though, you can change the file name to something else but don't change the .img extension.

Now it's possible that the map on your card is copy protected. If so, then it can probably only be used on the original card, and you will get an error message on the Rino when you copy it there.

Give it a try and see what happens. If it doesn't work, perhaps the company you purchased the map from can exchange the card for a DVD version which would allow you to install via Basecamp/Mapinstall.
