In Basecamp I receive a track from my Etrex 30. If I then right-click that track by date and select "show on map" Basecamp displays the whole state map I am using. I want to zoom automatically to the selected track not have to search for it with the zoom tool. How do I do that? There must be a 'zoom selected" tool somewhere but I haven't found it. It's obvious in Mapsource.
Basecamp should only zoom out far enough to display the whole track when you right click it and select 'show on map', that's the way it works for me anyway
If you double click a list it'll zoom out to show everything in that list.
Same here. Perhaps the OP is clicking on the list/folder name (rather than the track) in which case the zoom level will be set to show all data in that list/folder not just the individual track.
Yep, latest version (4.2.2) so it sounds like mine doesn't work correctly. I deleted all the other lists and am definitely right clicking the "data received" file.
You're clicking on the LIST not an item (track) within that list. You need to click on the track itself (in the lower pane of BC) not the list itself. As SUSAMB and I have said if you do a "Show on Map" on a list/folder everything within that list/folder will be shown.
