Birdseye images from Basecamp to Device

Hi,
Can someone help me how to transfer birdseye images from PC to Montana 650?

I have done:
I have a birdseye subscription for my montana.
Birdseye images for certain regions are downloaded to PC and could be seen properly.
Tried to send the image file to Montana using send button. (Nothing happened! nor any messages displayed!)

Need advice:
How to transfer to Montana 650?
Is there any setups to be changed on Montana to view as birdseye view?
Any particular folder to be created to transfer the image files?
Can the image files be stores on SD card?

You can transfer Birdseye imagery manually (without BC) if you wish (I've done it). It's not hard but does require that you're comfortable copying files between drives (i.e. are computer savvy).

Now when you get Birdseye imagery BC saves it in a sub-folder (JnxFiles) of your current database. Now BC allow you to customize the location of your database but the default is

    C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\Garmin\BaseCamp (WinXP)

    C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\BaseCamp (Vista, Win7, Win8)

Now the names of the files within the JnxFiles sub-folder aren't meaningful to a human but that isn't an issue unless you want to know what filename corresponds to what Birdseye region. If you don't care just copy all the .jnx files from the JnxFiles folder on your PC to a BirdsEye folder (it could be under \Garmin or in the root) on your device.
  • If you're not comfortable with that, and assuming it's the Montana that has the Birdseye subscription (?) you should be able to drag and drop it in Basecamp when your GPS is connected, or right click on the Birdseye file and select 'Send to'.

Basecamp will create the correct folders for you if required.
