Australian Map

Hi,

When I open BaseCamp 4.2.2 it defaults to a global map.

When I plug my Nuvi 3490 into the pc I can use the Australian map from the 3490 but it is extremely slow when starting a new trip and entering a destination (e.g. Mallett St, Camperdown).

Why is it so slow?

Is it because of the USB connection?

Can I transfer the map locally to the hard disk?

Run GarminMapUpdater for PC and provided you've updated the maps on your nuvi at some point look for the View Options button bottom left, click on it and select the option to Install maps to PC:
