setting user defined grid

I need to set the longitude origin to E35°12.725
I tried decimsl degrees 35.212083 but it wan't let me more than fore digits after the dot
but it will not let me set degree, space gets deleted & chenges completely.
on the etrex unit i had no problem, but only in the basecamp i'm getting problems.

I doubt that there is anything you can do. BaseCamp tends to limit the entry of significant digits to too high a degree.

I think the should be a way to put it in but the problem is with the symbool of degree. it only lets to input do, & a dot gives only 4 digits.

I didn’t test it before my prior post, but it seems to work fine.

I created a waypoint at the grid origin Lat = 0°, Lon = 35° 12.725’ (WGS84 Datum).

In BaseCamp 4.2.2, I was able to type in E35.212083 for the longitude of origin, I left the scale factor at 1 and set both False Easting and False Northing to 10.

The waypoint had the correct coordinates of 10, 10.

The grid set-up dialog displayed E35.2121, but it is actually using the entered value of E35.212083. This can be verified by typing in E35.2121 in the grid set-up dialog. (origin waypoint coordinates changed to 8, 10)
