Ok, so I am trying to make a route in BC and when I put one way point at one location on lets say LA37 and then I put another one on LA37 lets say 10 miles apart, the computer will generate a route from my two way point of course. However, I don't want to be routed off of LA37 so how do I drag the route that the computer generated back onto LA37 without having to move the second way point closer to my first way point on LA37? Hopefully I make a little bit of sense.
Zoom in on your waypoints and make sure both are on the correct side of the road. Autorouting is probably going off the road to get you back on the same side of the road as the end waypoint. That could be because either the start or end waypoint is on the wrong side.
I think the OP’s route is taking other roads in addition to LA37. If that is the case, an additional point or two will need to be added to the route. Select the route in the lower left pane and choose the Insert editing tool (looks like a pencil). As you move the cursor close to the route, a thick gray line will appear your start and end points. When it appears click the left mouse button once. You should see thin lines connecting the route points to the cursor. Add a point somewhere along LA 37 with a left mouse click. A good place would be ca. half way between the missing segment of LA 37, but not too close to an obvious connection to the undesired route.
You may have to add more than one point. The tool will be ready to add another point closer ahead of the one you made. If you need to add a point behind, press the esc key and select a different segment to edit (the thick gray line mentioned above) by approaching the route between the start point and the new point.

I put a waypoint at 37 and 10 in Greensburg then a waypoint on 37 just before 190 in Baton Rouge and let BC calculate the route (I'm using the Motorcycle Active Profile). BC didn't route all the way down 37 so I added a shaping point at N30 33.124 W90 58.963. When BC recalculated the route was on 37 all the way.
