Mapinstall crash - GPSMAP 62s - can't install OSM maps

Mapinstall doesn't work for me anymore - i tried loading OSM maps from basecamp (ver. 4.2.2) to my GPSMAP 62s but it crashes - produces an error dialog screen. I've also upgraded the GPSMAP 62s to version 5. Can anyone help - i so need badly mapinstall to work properly - :mad:

IF it's a firmware issues - does anyone know how i can get version 4.9 (older version)?

Which OSM maps are you using? Where did you get them from?

Most OSM maps are available in in "gmapsupp.img" version. For this, you just need to unzip it (if its a zip file), then copy the gmapsupp.img file onto the GPS. Either in the internal memory or on a MicroSD card, just put it in a folder named "Garmin".
No need to use BaseCamp or MapInstall for this.
