Custom Map Image Tiles Disappearing? Solutions?

I have always had good luck getting custom maps to work. But of late I am having an error in Base Camp:

After importing the custom maps everything is fine until I close the program and restart it at a later date. The file reference shows up in 'my collection' but no image tiles show up. Double clicking the reference in the 'my collection' reference brings up the following window:

All I get is???.

Any one else having this problem or have a solution?
Thanks,

Could you provide us a copy of the Custom Map that this happens with?

You are running on Windows XP?

Which version of BaseCamp is this?

I was unable to reproduce this issue with the file you have provided on Win 7 and BaseCamp 4.2.2. Is there any other information you can provide?

I have my map data and the program on two different partitions. Perhaps this is causing a problem (though it never did in the past)? I'll move the map to c: and see what happens...

    Edit:

I moved the map to the same partition: still had the same problem. However I have some other custom maps also not in the c: partition that do not have this problem.

Odd. I'll check the settings in mapc2mapc and see if something is amiss there...

I changed the tile size in mappc2mapc from 512 to 1024 per tile; now I have a custom map that is not disappearing after a program reload. Perhaps that is the cause?

    Thanks.

I'm also having similar problems with custom maps.

My custom maps also disapear in the same fashion on basecamp restart. I download a map in pdf format, convert it to jpeg with photoshop, no editing. I import the jpeg into google earth, georeference it and then save it as a kmz file. The kmz file imports into basecamp nicely but then the picture of the map is gone after restart, the frame is still there. This dosent happen to all of them but more than half. I cant figure why some are stable and the others are not. Where do you go to edit the mappc2mappc file?
