Can't see tracks on Dakota 20 in Basecamp

I have Dakota 20 which has track information recorded on it, but I cannot see the track information in Basecamp.
All I see in Basecamp is the device mapped to drive letter J under which is a folder called "User data" and the GB Discoverer 50K maps.
I can see the track info on the device, but not in Basecamp.
When I view the drive via Windows Explorer, there is an EULA folder which is empty and a GARMIN folder which has files called GMAPSUPP.GMA, GMAPSUPP.IMG, GMAPSUPP.UNL. There is also a sub-folder called GPX which is empty.

I'm sure there used to be a folder called "Internal Storage" or similar, but this is not displayed.

Basecamp is at 4.2.2
Dakota is at 5.6

Any ideas gratefully received!

BaseCamp reads device data from the GPX folder. So if it is empty, it cannot show you anything.

I am not familiar with the Dakota, is there maybe an 'Export' function that you have to use to make the device write out its internal data as GPX?
