No map detail in BaseCamp for CN Europe NT 2014.10 3D

Hi,

I purchased CN Europe NT 2014.10 3D, it's in SD card, when I connect the card with BaseCamp, I can select it, but when I zoom into a city, no details for the city, no street name, only can see highway. But in Garmin GPS, I can input an address, and see street, etc. Is it any limit for BaseCamp?

How are you selecting it? Does it appear in the map drop down list in the toolbar?

Select the 2014.10 map without the 3D suffix; that is the real 2014.10 map. The 2014.10 3D just contains 3D models of buildings; some devices are capable to show them, others aren't. Neither is BaseCamp.

You're missing the point here ... you need to look in the map drop down list in Basecamp, that is where you select the map that will appear in Basecamp.

There is a smalll possibility that the normal map doesn't show up in the map drop down list; in that case you have to make it visible to BaseCamp. That can be done with JaVaWa Device Manager (while you're at it, turn the visibility of the 3D map off; it is useless for Basecamp)

No,that's the 3D map. See JaVaWa's post ... you may need to use his Device Manager to turn the visibilty of the normal map on.
