BaseCamp 4.2.2 is available at http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4435.

It should be available from inside BaseCamp soon.

This is a maintenance release that addressing the most common issues of 4.2.1.

Fixed various issues with upgrading legacy databases

Fixed activity based routing
Fixed issue with editing routes received from a device

Note that it changes your settings in Options, Activity Profiles, Map Display Features ... at least it did in mine.

And can I please ask (again) that the Category Cities is removed from POIs. It simply doesn't make sense IMO to not have Cities listed separately in Find.

Thank you. I had a partially recorded track recently (long steep hike) and filled in the missing section by creating a route, converting that to a track, and then joining the two together. Of course that section had no time and other (temp + heat rate) data but did have elevation (from Topo map). Viewing that track's graph would crash BC 4.2.1. No issue now.

Spoke too soon :( Works on Win7 x64. Using the exact same database on WinXP SP3 crashes BC.

Updte 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 made basecamp disappear. It became identical to my mapsource 6.16.3 but it reports being Basecamp 4.2.2.
I hesitated before upgrading, but was curious...

I have no idea what you're trying to say. Do you mean no shortcut was created? What happens if you run BC directly by double-clicking on

C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\BaseCamp.exe (64-bit Windows)
C:\Program Files\Garmin\BaseCamp.exe (32-bit Windows)

ahrrmm, yeah it is....
Should go to sleep I guess.
It switched appearence and became more like mapsource still running in background, I guess I didn´t notice the difference after double clicking.

A problem reported for version 4.2.1 is still present:
Importing content to a List within a List Folder. Items are just imported to My Collection Root, not to the selected List.

I can't seem to download Basecamp. Each time I navigate to the download page and press the Download Buttom, I wind up back at the Select Region Page. And then it goes full circle again and again. I've tried using Firefox, Chrome and IE.

When I hover over the Download button, I see the link as:

http://www8.garmin.com/software/BaseCamp_422.exe

But, again, it does not download but merely circles back to Region Selection.

If I modify the link posted above to _421.exe - then it does download the 421 version (which it sounds like has a bug????)
