No devices connected yet mapsource handles it

Current version of Mapsource can handle all my GPS, Rino 110, Rino 120, Rino 530, and the old 12.
Yet I get "There are no devices connected to BaseCamp" on all but the 530. Does this mean that Basecamp and Metroguide North America V7 can't work with the older devices or am I missing some setup trick?

Basecamp doesn't work with devices that have serial interfaces. I believe the old models you mention all have serial interfaces, so you will need to use Mapsource with them.

Sorry, I don't understand the Metroguide question.

As OSTROFF01 said BaseCamp doesn't support devices that connect via a serial interface. Now if you use Metroguide North America V7 in MapSource you'll be able to see the same maps in BaseCamp.

BTW you can get the latest (and last) version of MapSource here.

FYI you can import MapSource GDB files into BaseCamp. You can also export GPX files from BaseCamp and open those in MapSource.
