Cannot load routes onto Zumo 550

Hi Guys,

I tried to send 17 routes from Basecamp (the latest 4.2.1 version). Got the tick on the storage, unplugged the zumo and it found the routes and asked me if I wanted to import, to which I said yes. It started importing, got to about the 9th route and turned off. When I turned it back on 8 of the routes were on there. So I jumped back on basecamp and did the same for the remaining routes. When I unplugged the zumo it didn't ask me this time and the routes are not on the unit.

I tried deleting all the routes from the zumo itself and try again. But again, once I unplugged the zumo it did not ask me to import the new data. When I check the storage of the zumo on basecamp it shows all 17 routes on the device, even though I can see none when using the zumo. I can not delete these routes from basecamp as there is no option to delete and start again (unless you are looking at routes on your computer in My Collection).

Has anyone got any ideas how I can get these routes on the unit? I am going away next month and need them for that.

Basecamp cannot delete routes off the Zumo or Nuvi range, it's a limitation of the GPS not Basecamp. To delete them you must do so on the unit itself. But you'll still see them in Basecamp as it will read the file it sent, temp.gpx. You can delete that through Windows Explorer, it will be in the GPX folder on your zumo.

The zumo 550 has a problem; it cannot import more than about 7 or 8 routes at once (as you found out). You can however import the other routes (in smaller chunks): touch the wrench key in the lower right corner, select "User Data" and "Import Data".
