I can't for the life of me figure out how to get detail maps installed on my computer so that I can route plan without having the GPS connected to the computer. If I connect my BMW Navigator IV to the computer the Navigator's maps will at least show up on the Basecamp Maps list. After I disconnect the Navigator IV the detail maps disappear and I'm left with only the Global Map!
I have followed the Map Installation and Unlock instructions to the letter but the detail maps DO NOT install on to my computer.
What makes this doubly frustrating is that I previously had the detail maps of North America installed on Basecamp on my computer. Now, after a Basecamp update or two those detail maps no longer appear on Basecamp's Maps list, only the Global map is listed.
Again, I follow the unlock instructions to the letter but the detail maps DO NOT install on my computer. How I got the maps installed previously I haven't a clue.
Should I uninstall and then reinstall Basecamp and try installing the detail maps again?
Any other suggestions?
So many wasted HOURS on this issue!
