Combine Birdseye satellite downloads into one map

The subject pretty much says it all.

The Garmin birdseye downloads are limited in size. I have had to download contiguous areas. These alll get named separate things. Is there a way to combine them?

Thanks

Why do you want to? A combined file would take (about) the same space as separate ones. Now units do have a limit as to how many .jnx files they can handle but you have to cover a large area to hit that limit.

Birdseye images aren't meant to replace (topo or road) maps but supplement them.

Now you may not know but you can rename .jnx files on your device. For example I give mine area coverage names (e.g. This area.jnx, That area.jnx).
  • Organizationally, I just wanted it to be cleaner in basecamp. I guess I can just combine all the downloads under one list. Is this the best solution?

    Thanks for your response.

I maintain one ("master") list, under "My Collection" that contains all Birdseye imagery. I then copy (which doesn't copy .jnx files and use disk space) individual image(s) to other lists where I want them to be visible. Now BC allows you to see (in Properties) what list(s) any data item (including Birdseye images) is in so that method works for me.
