I purchased maps for Colombia from Pamacol. The sparse instructions are in Spanish, despite that I've got the maps working on a Nuvi. What I'm having trouble with is getting BaseCamp to recognize the gmapsupp.img file in the c:/garmin/colombia folder. Anyone know how to do this?
That isn't going to work. A gmapsupp.img file is meant to be used exclusively on a device; BaseCamp can use it from there. There is a work around though: create a folder named Garmin on a USB stick or SD card, and copy the file into that folder. BaseCamp will treat it the same as a device; enabling you to use the map in Basecamp.
