BaseCamp Multiple Route Select Distance

Hi,

In MapSource when you selected multiple routes or tracks it showed the total distance of the tracks or routes in the status bar at the bottom.

It looks like BaseCamp does not show this. Is there any other way to get the total distance of tracks or routes in BaseCamp?

Falagar, if my memory serves, this has been requested for some time, is it still on the enhancements list? It could be implemented as MS did it on the status bar line as sum of distance and time for the selected routes (preferred way, IMO), or shown on the window seen after selecting "open" with multiple routes selected (perhaps could include more calculated route statistics since there would be more space). (Have to admit I'm not on 4.2 yet, so if it's already there, I apologize.) Thanks.

Edit -- I see the second method, showing summaries in the "properties" window, does work for tracks, at least in 4.1. So perhaps an easy add for routes also?

4.2.1 only shows the following info for multiple tracks - area, ascent and descent. Not particularly useful, but if it can be done for this then possibly it's not a massive task to add total distance (for tracks and routes)?

Showing consolidated route stats in the route bulk-edit dialog would make a lot of sense and would be consistent with tracks. I'll add that one.

Win-BC Show stats of multiple Tracks: One day it works...

The next day it doesn't...

I have discovered that there is something in a Track that BC does not want to read when multiples are combined. But, I can't figure out what it is. The attached file has three tracks that were Imported last week. The duplicates were Imported today. The track from today (labeled 001) work with multiple properties. The others don't - for me at least.

Hope the Dev Team can figure this one out quickly.

I imported the gpx file and got two tracks, ACTIVE LOG: 11 SEP 2008 16:42 and ACTIVE LOG: 11 SEP 2008 16:42 001.

I can see properties in bulk-edit (774 points, 45.0km, 1:14:40h).

Do you have another example where I could easily reproduce the issue?

Until a few weeks ago i could select multiple tracks and BC showed me the total distance.
Now, since the update (4.2.2 Dutch) it doesn't show the total distance anymore.

On my laptop, where I still have version 4.1.2 (Dutch) it still shows the total distance.

I hope you will restore this bug.
