Using BaseCamp ver 4.2.1

I would like to have several databases unrelated to each other with "My Collections"

When I create a new database <Edit> <Options> <General> <Database Options> will this be a separate database unrelated to the default database?

Yes. BaseCamp will create a new (empty) database in the new location. You can create pretty much any number of databases and switch between them.

Switching between databases requires a restart of BaseCamp.
