  • Bingo! This needs putting in the help files though, which at the moment seem offline?

Two further points. Double clicking the via point works as well as clicking the 'Edit point' button. You can't select a sequence of points and change them all at the same time, each one must be changed individually, or at least I haven't been able to. Seems to me that a 'block change' would be useful

    We are working on that.

We will also be looking into making multi-profile routing easier to use. Right now it's more like a side-effect of trip planner.
  • Hello
I just tried a mixed mode route using a track segment converted to direct route to bridge a gap in the map. This works nicely in basecamp. But does not in my Oregon300. Could you please specify which new features of basecamp work in which type of GPSr?
    Thanks

Looks like the last update for the Garmin Oregon 3xx series was in May 2011.

So, any version of BaseCamp up to that date should be fully compatible.

A lot of progress has occurred in the two years since then. You may want to consider looking at an Oregon 6xx if you want access to all the new bells and whistles :)

    Hello.

After having selected "Help" a " HTTP 404" error code is generated. The accessed Web page is at the following URL address: "static.garmincdn.com/.../Default.htm" (French language).
Did someone get this error (with any language) ? Did you get any solution to implement correct hep access?
    Thanks
  • You're not alone, there is an issue with the help pages at the mo.

    Hi

Could download the program as update from 4.1. Had to remove the beta manually.

I think I found an issue: Imported tracks are not displayed in the list where they are imported.
When I than select my whole collection I can see the track on the map and as item in list. When I open the track dialog of the imported track on the reference tab it is stated that it is in the list where I have imported it. But when that list is selected again, the track is NOT visible on the map or as item in the list ...

I cannot reproduce this. Imported a track into a list named 'Test'. It shows up on the map and in the list.

Does anyone else see this? Any trick to make this happen?
  • I have a problem importing a custom map kmz file into this new version, the file imported ok on version 4.1
the file is available on this url:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/121839/incatrail15.kmz
I got no error messages or warnings. Any idea what could be the problem?
UPDATE: The kmz import is working, but the custom map is not placed in the list I am located, and where I use the Import file into (list): function. I have to go to the My Library root, locate the map and then use send to: selecting the destination list.
I think this is the same problem as Robvanderpluijm . My List is not directly under My Library, but under a Folder
  • I have observed following problems in 4.2.1:

I can't write Polish character 'ó' into search field. On Polish keyboard this is combination of 'Right Alt' + 'o'.
Addresses in search results are displayed as street name only. I can get many results in a range of 300km, and I have not enough information to select interesting one.
Executing a search can move current map view at random. This is inconvenient, change of view could be performed after selecting a result.
