Topo basemap

I would like to upload some NTS topo masemap on my GPS using Basecamp the same way we use to do this with Mapsource. How do I select the NTS sheets or coverage needed with Basecamp?

Use MapInstall. You can invoke it directly from BaseCamp. Select your device in BaseCamp then go to the Maps menu and pick 'Install Maps on xyz'.

You will be able to pick the tiles in the advanced/partial install window.

I do have the Mapsource TOPO maps of Canada on my computer for having used htem with Mapsource in the past
, how do I get to have them displayed in Basecamp?

No action should be necessary. With very few exceptions, all maps visible in MapSource should be visible in BaseCamp.

If the map does not show up in BaseCamp, can you check the Map Product Manager within MapSource and note the location of the map?

As I recall there an older version of Topo Canada that comes on multiple CD's. Do you have to insert different CD's in MapSource or are the maps installed on your HD?

I ask because BaseCamp doesn't support swapping CD's.
