Hi Guys,
Im fairly new to the GPS scene, usually stick to the old Map+Compass.
Anyway, i usually like to create routes using The Hug (Find it easier than basecamp) and export my route in gpx format and then upload them to my Montana 600.
However, something that is starting to annoy me now is the size of the waypoints and the route lines between the waypoints on the GPS display. Its that big that it over crowds the display and when trying to follow the route you cant see any of the map detail underneath the lines. Its really annoying as i like to follow the maps and the surrounding details but i just cant see anything other than a large pink line and a massive pin stuck in the way.
When looking at the route in basecamp, under options -> Display i can manually change the waypoint size and route width and this displays perfect in basecamp, however when i then view it on the GPS again its back to the massive icons/lines so this is just a basecamp setting.
I have also noticed that if i load a track rather than a route that i have previously done then this is displayed as a really small line with no waypoints and is perfect, surely there must be a setting somewhere on the GPS to change the route line width the same as the track width?? Also i would like to disable the waypoint icons altogether and just have a dot or better still nothing, just a line representing the route i want.
Is this possible guys? I must be honest i like my GPS unit but the software/firmware is a bit of a let down for me.
